Eligibility, divisions, costs, visa, tests, safety: the essentials to see clearly before you start.
The Athletics Partner service
What exactly does Athletics Partner do?
We support international student-athletes from start to finish on the way to a US or Canadian college: profile evaluation, highlight video, contacting coaches (NCAA, NJCAA, NAIA), help discussing scholarship offers, applications, F-1 visa and follow-up once you are on campus.
What athletic level do I need?
Our network covers every division (NCAA D1, D2, D3, NJCAA, NAIA) and prep schools. There is a suitable place for most serious profiles. The key is aiming at the right level, and that is our job.
How long has Athletics Partner been around?
Since 2010. We have placed more than 450 athletes and built a network of more than 2,000 US and Canadian colleges.
I am not French. Can you still help me?
Yes. Our support is open to athletes from every country. We handle foreign transcripts, eligibility with the NCAA Eligibility Center and the F-1 visa process wherever you apply from. Our team answers in English.
Admission and paperwork
Which tests do I need to take?
It depends on the colleges you target: the SAT (academic aptitude), and the TOEFL or the Duolingo English Test (English level) if English is not your first language. We tell you which ones you need and the score to aim for.
How does the F-1 student visa work?
Once the college is chosen, it issues an I-20 form. We prepare the application with you, help schedule the consular appointment and prepare you for the interview. We handle the paperwork from start to finish.
The financial side
Can I get a full scholarship (full ride)?
It is rare, and it depends on the sport, the division and your athletic and academic profile. Most often, an athletic scholarship is combined with academic aid to lower the cost. We never promise a full scholarship: you get a realistic estimate from the free evaluation.
How much does it actually cost?
What you pay depends on the scholarship received and on the college. We give you a transparent range from the free evaluation, with no commitment.
For parents
Will my child be supervised and safe there?
Yes. Campuses are supervised, health coverage is part of enrollment, and we follow your child throughout the year with a dedicated contact.
What happens in case of injury?
The scholarship is not automatically lost: the rules vary by college and by type of scholarship. We favor programs with protective terms and explain them before anything is signed.
